In her own words: 

Choral singing has always been a part of my life ever since I was 9! And it was through singing with various choirs where I experienced the impact it has on individuals, so I knew that this was something I wanted to be a part of in the long run, even off stage. I've had the amazing opportunity to staff the National Youth Choir's residential courses since Easter 2021 and not only was working with the young people fulfilling, but I got to experience how the National Youth Choir is an organisation that puts young people at the very core of what they do. And I'm excited to now be on the other side of things! I truly believe that music— the arts in general— should be accessible to everyone who wishes to be a part of it, and so, I'm glad to be part of an organisation that strives towards that. At the end of the day, the young people of today are our musicians of tomorrow, and so it's important to show them that no matter who they are, what their backgrounds are or where they come from, there's a place for them here.
