Music by female composers and arrangers (2018)

DOWNLOAD female composers and arrangers MUSIC LIST

This list was first published on 22 November 2018 (St Cecilia’s Day) as part of National Youth Choir's 2018 'Women in Song' project which celebrated the centenary of women’s suffrage in the U.K. and aimed to help raise the profile of women in choral music.

The list is aimed primarily at leaders of youth and community choirs, and gives repertoire ideas and practical information. It is a starting point and not a comprehensive list: each of the composers represented here has a larger body of works worthy of further exploration, and there are many living and historical female composers not listed here. Please consult the Further info and About tabs on spreadsheet for further information and ideas.

This list was kindly funded by the Ambache Charitable Trust - raising the profile of music by women
