SING!

SING! brings young people together to sing, offering opportunities to learn and develop new skills, explore their voices and build their confidence. We work with partners across the UK to shape each SING! area and promote it to local networks of teachers, schools and families. We aim to enrich young people's lives through singing and our activity is focused in areas where research has identified that opportunities to sing together and engage with excellent youth music-making are limited for young people.

As part of our Pathways activity, young singers who have been taking part in SING! can choose to audition in the autumn for National Youth Choir. Since 2024 we have welcomed 43 young people through SING! into National Youth Choir. Many of these singers will be recipients of our Financial Assistance programme, which provides bursaries to attend our residential singing courses.

Any singers who have joined SING! are encouraged to come back in following years to enjoy singing together and develop their skills. We also offer opportunities for volunteers from National Youth Choir to support young people in their local area through SING!
