In his own words:

Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. I started out as a chorister at my local parish church in my childhood home of Liverpool, and soon went on to start studying at the Junior RNCM. It was not long before my teacher advised me that I should audition to join the National Youth Choir, and I haven’t looked back since. Having been a member of the National Youth Choir for quite some time, initially in the Training Choir, and later in the National Youth Choir 18-25 and Chamber Choir, I have seen first-hand how this incredible organisation can and will change your life. I am absolutely thrilled to now be working for the National Youth Choir and am so excited to play a part in offering amazing, life-changing opportunities to our wonderful young singers.

Alongside my work with the National Youth Choir, I spend much of my time producing for recording sessions, singing in concerts, and walking my dogs!

For the National Youth Choir:

Josh is responsible for the planning, production and delivery of digital content for National Youth Choir's Creative and Learning teams, including oversight of NYC Recordings (our in-house record label), filming activity and other digital projects.

His day-to-day duties include being present at all recording sessions, often as producer, completing post-production work on audio & video projects, and working closely with our distribution partners to ensure that content is delivered to service providers in plenty of time. Former projects have also included engraving scores for large scale commissions, overseeing lighting, sound & video for concerts, and creating "soundscapes" to enhance performances.
