I’ve been involved with local amateur theatre from a very young age and have grown up with a love of music and performing. As well as being the Assistant Principal for a local theatre school, I still regularly take part in various productions myself, so fully understand and appreciate the joy of singing with others and performing as part of a team. I know myself the huge impact this had on me growing up, and can say with certainty that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it.

That’s why it is such a privilege to be part of an organisation like the National Youth Choir, that gives young people the opportunity to develop their love of singing and to discover the joy that comes from being part of a group of people who share the same passion and get to perform together. It’s so special to see first-hand how NYC gives young people the chance to have new experiences, learn from such talented and knowledgeable people, make new friends, and just have so much fun! It’s truly wonderful to be able to play a role in this.
