Meet the team


Based in London, James Olley is a corporate adviser and strategist. He began his career working for a brand-name retailer before moving into consultancy.

Before joining the founding team of Montfort, a strategic advisory firm, James spent over a decade at Brunswick where he specialised in reputation management for some of the world’s biggest brands and businesses, and advised on major M&A and IPOs. He is a trustee of St Paul’s Cathedral Foundation, Secretary to the St Paul’s Cathedral Chorister Trust, member of the Advisory Council of the London Symphony Orchestra, and formerly Trustee of the City Arts Trust. James studied music and still performs with a variety of ensembles, as a singer, tuba player, and conductor. James graduated in English Literature and American Studies, studying in both the UK and USA.
