Back to members' homepage How to book a course on the Singer Portal Current members of National Youth Choir are invited to book residential courses at the beginning of each year online on our Singer Portal (previously called 'MyNYCGB'). We are trying out a new course booking process in 2026 to allocate course places fairly to all singers who want to take part. In this new process, singers are allocated a place on one or more specific course(s) based on their responses to a preferences form, as well as other factors such as voice part balance. Parents of singers are able to secure their course place(s) on their allocated courses by booking courses on our Singer Portal during the booking window. When booking, parents who have not been awarded Financial Assistance will will pay any course fees. New members can also pay a one-off joining fee. After the booking window has closed, in the unlikely event that any course places that haven't been claimed, they will be offered to other members based on their submitted course preferences.
