National Youth Choir Recordings Celebrates 10 Years!

October 2025 marks 10 years since National Youth Choir Recording's first releases, Agincourt Song and Voices for Today. To celebrate, we've created a short documentary featuring singers, composers and collaborators telling the story of our recording label and what it means to them.

National Youth Choir Recordings was established in 2015. It shows the full breadth of music sung by the UK's finest young singers aged 9-25 as well as our Fellowship Ensemble and alumni.

Young Composers 7

Esther Bersweden, Fraz Ireland, Kornélia Nemcová & Ryan Morgan

National Youth Choir (18-25 Years) and National Youth Choir Fellowship Ensemble

Released 30 January 2026

The seventh recording in the Young Composers series – a collaboration with NMC Recordings.

The works featured on the recording are by Fraz Ireland, Kornélia Nemcová, Esther Bersweden and Ryan Morgan, the four National Youth Choir Young Composers for 2025. This album showcases the extraordinary range of four emerging choral composers, moving effortlessly through a rich array of imaginative sound worlds.

Now in its seventh year, the Young Composers series is a collaboration between the National Youth Choir and NMC Recordings. Both partners have the shared ethos of supporting emerging professional artists, enabling new choral music and promoting it through professional release. Supporting the project was composer Joanna Marsh as lead mentor, alongside guest mentors Huw Watkins, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Helen Neeves and Owain Park.
