To build your own warm-up, we suggest you pick one or two activities from each category and do them in the following order:
First, one or two Posture or Movement activities
Then, one or two Physical or Breath activities
Then, one or two Voice activities
If you have time, add a Focus activity - this can be done at any point
At National Youth Choir, we think warm-ups are an essential part of every singing session – but they don’t have to take long. If you’re pushed for time, three simple activities lasting one or two minutes should be enough to get everyone ready to sing their best.
