Get involved Join a National Choir Course dates, locations and fees for 2025/6 What are the course dates? Choir members are invited to attend up to two residential courses per year, which take place around the UK in the spring and summer holidays. There are no regular term-time commitments, only one-off courses and projects in the holidays. Where possible, we offer courses in a range of locations and on a range of dates. Here are the course dates for singers who successfully auditioned to join the choir for our 2025/26 season: If a choir member does not attend at least one course a year, they will be asked to re-audition in the autumn if they want to take part the following year. Will it cost me anything? No young person should be prevented from joining National Youth Choir because of financial barriers. We are a charity, and we use donations from our supporters to cover some of the costs of activities for all singers aged 9-18. However, these donations don’t cover everything. To make this work, we ask singers’ families to pay the remaining cost of taking part as a course fee. We have a Financial Assistance scheme to give extra discounts to families who cannot afford to pay the full amount. Financial Assistance is available to all members and is offered on a sliding scale based on eligibility.
