Photography: Adam Hilton We are excited to announce the launch of National Youth Voices, which will replace the National Youth Chamber Choir from September 2024 Members of National Youth Voices will be offered exciting, high-profile opportunities to perform in small ensembles at a professional level, across a range of genres. These changes are a direct response to feedback from our members, and we are looking forward to developing the scope of this group of singers as we move forward to this exciting next stage. National Youth Voices will be a flexible pool of singers, made of up of: Current members of National Youth Choir (18-25 Years) Current Emerging Professional Artists (Conductors, Fellows and Composers) National Youth Choir (18-25 Years) alumni and former Emerging Professional Artists who have graduated the choir/scheme within the last 2 years Approximately 70 singers, with performances likely to require 16-24 singers, depending on the type of performance. National Youth Voices will be a flexible ensemble, and singers may be called on for availability throughout the year; there is no set programme of activity. Members will have travel and subsistence paid for when performing with National Youth Voices. There will be specific National Youth Voices auditions for the 2024-25 pool: Auditions for current members of National Youth Choir (18-25 Years) will be held on the summer residential Auditions for National Youth Choir (18-25 Years) and Emerging Professional Artists alumni will be held online during the summer Current Emerging Professional Artists may audition either during the summer residential, or online Each place will be awarded for 2 years, with the possibility of re-auditioning for eligible singers We reserve the right to re-audition on a yearly basis. This will include re-auditioning anyone who has not taken part in National Youth Voices activity in the preceding year.
